What is Empty Mag Detection (EMD)?
MTWs and Article Series guns feature multiple Empty Magazine Detection modes. Depending on your FCU and choice of magazine, different modes may be available to you. Please see the chart below.
| Traditional (Wolverine Airsoft magazines only) | When a mag is emptied, the gun stops firing. To reset it, load a new magazine and then press the bolt catch (or rack the charging handle on the MTW AK-105). |
| Simplified (Recommended for AEG Magazines) | The gun will automatically reset when the magazine is removed without pressing the bolt catch / racking the charging handle. |
| Simulated (BLINC Bluetooth FCU Only) | Allows you to set a custom magazine capacity. When the mag counts down to 0, press the bolt catch (or rack the charging handle on the MTW AK-105) to reset it. |
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Some MTWs are shipping with Arcturus 200-round AEG magazines! To use Empty Mag Detection with this mag, please set your EMD Mode to Simulated.
